Food waste
Benefiting from the solid waste boom gradually released by garbage classification, the treatment of kitchen waste has begun to accelerate in recent years in China. With the rapid growth of population, the amount of food and kitchen waste is increasing day by day. Kitchen waste is the top priority of domestic waste disposal. From 2014 to 2018, the transfer volume of domestic waste increased by about 22.16% year-on-year, and kitchen waste accounted for more than 50% of domestic waste. Experts expect that the total amount of food waste collected separately in China every year is about 20 million tons to 30 million tons, and the daily output will exceed 500,000 tons, and the situation of food waste disposal is grim.

Efficient use of renewable fuels
The pretreatment of food and beverage waste adopts the process of "automatic sorting + heating pulping and solid-liquid separation + sand removal + oil recovery and purification", and the pretreatment of food waste adopts the process of "mechanical pretreatment + biohydrolysis + sand removal and impurity removal". This allows the various organic substances produced in the waste to undergo anaerobic fermentation, and the biogas produced by the fermentation can be used as renewable fuel by the gas internal combustion engine. As a high energy and renewable fuel to replace fossil fuels, it can both safely eliminate biogas and achieve efficient and environmentally friendly energy conversion.

Under the action of anaerobic bacteria, the organic matter in the table waste is fermented and degraded to produce biogas under appropriate temperature conditions. The biogas produced by fermentation contains 55%-75% (volume concentration) of methane. We send the biogas to the gas machine for combustion. At the same time, the system integrates the SCR exhaust gas treatment device to achieve the highest environmental emission requirements.
The biogas residue with low water content produced after degradation is treated as an organic fertilizer, and the biogas slurry is used as a liquid fertilizer, so as to achieve waste reduction and resource utilization.
Engineering case
Recently, two Yanbach J416 biogas generator sets of the phase I construction project of Nanjing Jiangbei Waste Complex Center were successfully commissioned and put into use.
Jiangbei Waste Comprehensive Disposal Center is invested and constructed by Nanjing Environmental Group Co., LTD. The project is located in Jiangbei Environmental Protection Industrial Park, covering an area of 219 mu. Jiangbei Comprehensive Waste Disposal Center is the largest kitchen waste disposal terminal in Nanjing at present, and undertakes the task of catering and kitchen waste disposal in the city. The disposal center has a processing capacity of 400 tons/day of kitchen waste and 700 tons/day of kitchen waste, and is at the leading level in the industry in terms of automatic waste disposal, collaborative treatment of kitchen waste and comprehensive utilization of resources.
The project takes catering waste, kitchen waste and waste edible oil as raw materials. Through the process system of pretreatment, anaerobic, sewage treatment, biogas residue dehydration and biogas purification, biogas, etc. resources such as biogas, crude oil, recycled water and green soil can be produced for biogas power generation, biodiesel production, landscaping, etc., providing an important guarantee for comprehensively promoting the classification of domestic waste and improving the quality of urban life.
In the first phase of the project, two Yanbach J416 biogas generating units are used, with a single output power of 1,200kW and a designed maximum power generation hours of 8,000 hours per year. With the smooth operation of the generator set, the project has been able to make full use of the biogas generated by the anaerobic fermentation process of kitchen waste treatment to generate electricity, and truly realize the recycling of kitchen waste.
Thanks to the advantages of high power generation efficiency, excellent cost performance, stability and reliability, and low emission, Yanbach gas generator set has become an important energy solution for many industries to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction, and is widely used in food waste treatment, agriculture and forestry biogas, landfill, sewage treatment and other fields.
